This is the pedigree detail for 'Lass o'th' Pendlehaze' (Lola) and 'Kilgleith Maverick' (Parlo). Please examine the pedigree of both these dogs and note that of the total of 30 dogs listed in both pedigrees, only one dog appears twice. Show Champion ‘Flimmoric Fanclub’, is a great, great grandfather to Lola and is also a great grandparent of Parlo. This is not an unusual event in dog pedigrees when breeding for excellence, but in order to prevent the reoccurrence of certain inherited health problems, it is better that this type of inbreeding is kept to a minimum. It is therefore important not only to have pedigrees display a good number of ‘show champions’ but also to limit the degree of any inbreeding.
